Skill acquisition process invariably hits a phase where progress seems to flatten out. It can be frustrating and lead to lower motivation. Hitting a plateau is a normal part of learning though. One must find strategies to overcome it.

Initial progress is rapid as basics are learned, but further improvements require focussing on unexplored or nuanced or conflicted aspects. It can slow down the learning pace.
